Porter was found starving on a Central Valley highway, so weak that he staggering, barely able to dodge the trucks driving by.  Porter was so emaciated we could easily see his bones, and he was so happy when we stopped and got him!  We got him to a veterinarian and, although he is older, after all the blood tests and a physical, the veterinarian said he is in good health!!  Nothing wrong but maybe a little arthritis.  He just needed food, and a home!!  We got him on a healthy diet and he is doing great!

Porter is an exceptionally friendly and loving dog.  All he wants to do is be by your side, give you kisses and wags, and roll over in hopes you will rub his belly -- he will lay there forever for tummy rubs!

Porter is the nicest dog ever!  He is everyone's friend instantly, wagging joyfully when someone walks toward him.  He gets along well with other dogs and small children (he does well with our 8 year old son and baby), and is always gentle. Porter also walks well on a leash, goes to the bathroom outside, and is exceptionally well-behaved overall.

Porter is a low maintenance dog.  He doesn't require much and is just happy to be indoors and safe.

Porter is perfect for an older person or anyone wanting a less active dog who is happy and exceedingly friendly and loving.  He is also perfect for someone who loves helping sweet dogs who need love and a home.

Porter has had a hard life but has a warm heart and good spirits about him. All Porter needs now is a person or family and home of his own.
