Domestic Short Hair / Tortoiseshell / Mixed (short coat) : : Female (spayed) : : Baby Contact Primrose's Caretaker/Foster Directly: Georgetta (aubrick@hotmail.com) Sweet special girl kitten
Primrose and her 3 sisters were rescued from being eaten by coyotes and other wildlife in the high desert in the Lancaster-Palmdale area.when they were still quite small. Momcat is now fixed and being fed, but she was feral and unsuitable as a family pet. Her kittens have had a lot of hands-on human contact and are very friendly and loving and have been quite healthy, playful and happy in the care of a Cats Cradle Rescue fostering volunteer. They have been in our care since late March. It happens seldom, but when these kittens were spayed, they tested positive for the FIV virus. We will be retesting them in late June or early July since many times the test picks up antibodies the kittens received from momcat and they eventually test negative for FIV on subsequent testing. FIV is not contagious to people, dogs, or other species. It is a cat-to-cat disease, spread by sex and deep bite wounds from fighting. For more information, please visit https://resources.bestfriends.org/article/fiv-cats-faqs-feline-immunodeficiency-virus. Please email catscradleinfo@gmail.com for information if you wish to meet Primrose. We also show cats and kittens for adoption 11-3:30 most Saturdays at the Petco in Camarillo (Las Posas off ramp in the BevMo, Target Shopping center). Adoptable cats and kittens will be shown at our Adoption Center at Cats Cradle in Ventura (1954 E. Main Street, corner of Main and Santa Cruz) on some weekends from noon to 4:30. Adoption application is required and can be completed online at www.CatsCradleRescue.org or at either of our adoption venues.
