Domestic Short Hair / Torbie / Mixed (short coat) : : Female (spayed) : : Baby Tabby with Red Tortie patches
This little girl kitten was rescued from a concrete block fire pit when she was only a day or two old. Her 2 siblings did not survive being buried in the soft ashes and soot. Phoenix was able to climb on top of her dead siblings and avoid being smothered by the ashes. Momcat was a young feral first time mom so we were not able to reunite her with her family. Phoenix rose from the cold ashes to be cared for by an experienced Cats Cradle neonatal foster family.
She is a beautiful kitten, with big sparks of ember red fur in her mostly tabby coat. She has some “tortitude” (tortishell attitude) and is a bit more cautious about new people and situations than the other fosters, but she can be very affectionate – on HER terms! She is very smart and checks out things carefully before jumping in. Please come and visit Phoenix and her friends at the Camarillo adoption at the PETCO on Saturday from about noon to 4 p.m. and Sunday from noon-5 p.m. If you have any questions about these kittens, please contact Georgetta at editor@CatsCradleRescue.org or 805-647-7173.
